Smitfraud

Xsoft tells me that my PC is infected with Smitfraud, but
fails to remove it. Microsoft Antispy does not recognise
or detect Smitfraud. How can I tell if it is really there
and if so, how do I get rid of it.

I'm getting the same report, but neither from Xsoft nor
Microsoft Antispy. I'm getting it from Spybot-SD, which
does remove it. It comes back erratically. I may have to
go to Safe Mode or use HijackThis to get rid of its
generator, but it may be coming in from whatever program
I'm accessing on the 'net. Just not sure.
