Hi;
Relatively a new user, and I am trying to find out how to
insert "Smiley Icons" at will, into parts of my messages.
Like AOL.
I can't seem to find them anywhere on Optimum Online. I
know its not a major issue, but others get a kick out of
them.

Hi,

To insert smileys, or any image for that matter, you must use html to create
your messages. Whether or not that is avialable to you depends on the mail
program you are using. What are you using? Outlook Express, the default
email client in WinXP, does provide for this function, but you need to
gather your own collection of smileys, etc.

The following program will enable you to insert smileys, and read in
plain text.
So if I type colon, hypen, right parenthesis...it turns it into a smiley
:-)

It's a great program Kath, and I like the colours to distinguish each
post.

Nice to see you here, Joan. I wouldn't be without OE Quotefix.

I left the ME group behind altogether, and am hoping to learn a few
things about XP here, and also answer a few queries if I can, after all
it's how I started with the OE group and look where it got me - an MVP!

Hi Kath, I've been here for quite a while but usually just lurk and store
useful information away in a special folder.
It's still a bit too intimidating for me to reply yet. I do still help out
in ME even though I don't run the OS anymore, anyway got to many friends
in there to leave <g>
