Smilely central is NOT spyware it is part of fun web products. See:

http://www.funwebproducts.com/?referer=003&spu=0

We want to assure you that Fun Web Products does not "spider" websites, nor
does it contain malicious software. It is simply an extremely popular webtool
that continues to grow in popularity.

For more about Fun Web Products - and our MyWebSearch toolbar - please see
the information below. If you still have any concerns about Fun Web Products
software or users accessing your site, please click here to contact us. We
welcome any comments you may have about our free service.

Fun Web Products:

Does NOT "spider" websites
Does NOT contain any malicious software
Does NOT collect any personal information
Does NOT monitor the sites visited
Does NOT monitor behavior on the Internet
Does NOT log or track keystrokes
Does NOT "hijack" home pages
Does NOT serve or facilitate ads
Why some spyware services may mistake Fun Web Products and its MyWebSearch
Toolbar for "Spyware"

Spyware detection is an emerging online product category with a lack of a
single standard. As a result, there is a substantial amount of confusion and
misinformation on the Web about how spyware detection software works and what
“spyware†actually means. This lack of a single standard often results in
legitimate software being classified as spyware.

There are currently dozens of spyware detection companies in the market,
ranging from substantive corporations to one-person operations. And new
offshore and mom-and-pop companies are emerging all the time. As a result,
it is often difficult to know which companies may be mis-classifying our
software and equally difficult to find them and have them correct their
classification error.

Fun Web Products are neither adware nor spyware and we are aggressively
working with any companies who may have mis-classified our products as such.
In virtually all instances, this classification has already been reversed.

This is from out of the horse's mouth. See:

The add it as an exception, open Control Panel > Windows Firewall >
(Exceptions) tab > Add Program, and scroll down until you find it.

Ah garbage. This is the same garbage that does popup advertising. I spent
about an hour attempting to remove this crap from a PC the other day. To
remove it attempted to take you to the "horses mouth" for another download
that removed it. However in this case nether that would work, nor would the
add remove programs method work. I had to go to a separate pc, download the
uninstaller, copy to disk and run from infected pc. Im sorry but anything
that attempts to advert a normal remove request should be considered viral
and the writers should be shot on site. Hopefully though, now that the
government is paying attention it wont be long before horses like you put
down. Do horses like you actually think people enjoy popup advertising? I
have never met anyone who recommended any such program as yours because of
great popup advertising.

Just goto www.spywareinfo.com a free utility to detect and remove spyware. It
removed the funwebproducts/smiley central and even gator.

Type www.spywareinfo.com in your address line of IE.
Scroll down till you see online scanner and click it
It will download a active-x program called Xscan.
Let it run and it may require a reboot after the scan and clean has completed.

May we call it JUNKWARE? :)

Well, since FunWeb Products are the producers of the extremely nasty
WinTools spyware, I wouldn't want anything they made on one of my
machines.

Maybe we'll ring up your ISP .. oh wait, you're using a WEB-BASED
newsreader to spam ? Thought you were anonymous, eh ?

They're extortionists and thugs like your company is. These
so-called "spyware" programs or online "scanners" inject massive
amounts of crud onto unsuspecting and innocent folk's systems and
then coerce them to buy their "software" ... Like your "product" does.

Sue me, go ahead ... I'd love it.

(snip massive spam/cr*p)

Go Mow! Case in point - A client called me yesterday. I had just cleaned
up her machine (which was a mess) a little while ago and it was
pristine. Now she was getting popups again like crazy. When I asked her
what changed, she told me nothing EXCEPT she had just gotten those
"cute little things" from Smiley Central. And now she's got the malware
toolbars and a load of more garbage. Cause and effect, baby!
