SMBus ACPI IRQ Allocation

Hello,

does anybody know where the SMBus (SystemManagementBus) is for?

I have a XP embedded System with ACPI. I can see with a tool that my
PCI-Device is on the same IRQ like the SMBus. But the Device Manager in XPe
shows me the PCI-Device on IRQ17(where it has to be) and the SMBus on IRQ9.
Can it be a driver Problem? When I want to check the Driver in the
DeviceManager (Driver Details) it says "no Driver loaded for this Device". I
have the same behaviour on an Standard XP too.

Every Information would be great.

Typically, it is part of the chipset drivers. For Intel chipsets it can be
found in ich7core.inf.
