SMART on Hard Drive

Just Asking

I have a MAxtor Hard Drive that the Bios will say SMART is stating there is
an error, I used MAx util and it found nothing, is this a problem that I am
no t seeing?

An Indication the drive is dying??

A S.M.A.R.T. error should not be ignored. I don't think I'd take a chance
with the drive.

Of course...I don't know if Maxtor will waranty the drive unless their own
utility finds an
error...best to check their website for exact details.
