Hello,

I have been trying for several days to accomplish a
task. I am now in charge of backing up six computers to
a seventh. I do not want to share folders for security
reasons. I can see the other computers but I can not get
access to more than one. I have tried creating a single "
Backup" logon with password on each computer to no
avail. I have been able to access the other computers at
one time or another but only by sharing folders. There
are two 98, one 2000 and three XPPro machines connected
to a hub. I am trying to backup to a XPPro machine. Any
suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

If you are trying to use the freebie backup apps that come with
the W2K/XP and W9x OSs, I think you will be unhappy because those
apps are pretty constrained. Look around for a backup app that
will run on all those OSs and that will run across a network.
