I have 3 compouters on a small LAN running both windows 98 and 2000. I am
unable to connect to the computer running 2000 however I can see it in the
workgroup, but cannot access any shared files or folders. What settings do I
need to change? I tried changing permmissions and security but to nao avail
Please help I am desperate and have tried everything I know.

You need to have identical user name and password on the Windows 98 &
Windows 2000 machines and you have to use authenticated logons on the
W98 machines, that is use the logon process when you start the machine.
If you don't use authenticated logon then you will need to supply a
valid username and password when you try to connect to the Windows 2000
shared resources.
