small icon from favorite item loss

IE 6.0 on WindowsXP Pro.
I have noticed that small icon from favorite item usually
changed to default icon (letter "e" icon) by itself. I
remembered when I add to the favorite menu it was with the
specific icon (such as small yellow butterfly from
msn.com). Then a few days later it have changed to default
icon. Please suggest me.

There is a third party download to make the icons permanent (can someone
post the link?)

They are temporary, and vanish with a reboot otherwise.
 
Did you delete your temperary Internet files and/or
cookies in the mean time ?
This icon is/was saved in your temp files.....
