Small database

Hi,

I am trying to program a small database for myself wich will hold less than
1000 records.
Which solution do I have?
Of course, not SQL Server, and maybe not Access.

Any examples?

Dear Michael,

You probably can download the Microsoft Sql Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) which is a lighter version of SQL Server intended for single desktop use.

You can downoad the same from the above link. It would be ideal for your scenario.

As ranganh noted, MSDE is fine. However, there is simply nothing wrong with
using JET / Access for a small personal database. You do not have to have an
Access license in order to use JET to create a database.

I'm trying out VistaDB (http://www.vistadb.net) for my app, but with
100,000's of records. Beta 3 is out now and looking good.
