Small Clips in Timeline

I'm really green at this whole process and have figured out a lot via baby
steps, but I still have some issues and was THRILLED to find the support
site. I have two questions (for now):
1) I have dragged a songful of pictures to the timeline, and also a song.
It's okay, but when I get out and save it, when I get back in the pictures
are just about an eighth of an inch wide instead of the nice little square I
drug there. I like to work in timeline best and it makes it very difficult.
Can I change them back?
2) Is there/what is the limit to what you can put in a movie? I am doing a
movie from still pictures and have about 7 songs and 200 accompanying pics.
Am I going to get 3/4 the way finished and find out I'm out of room?
Thanks and I luv the info!

Use the little magnifying glass icons above the timeline to zoom into or out
of it to see the clips better... Page-Up and Down keys do it too.

The limit for a movie project is tied into your computer's memory and memory
settings. There's no specific limits on the number of clips or the duration
of the movie. There's a cute little note of caution that pops up when your
timeline reaches 6 hours, telling you that it's getting a bit long and it'll
take a while to render.... but it won't stop you from continuing.

The issue you'll run into if it gets too complex for your memory is that it
won't be able to be saved to a movie file.

If you have 7 songs you want to fill up with a slide show of pictures, why not
just make each clip equal to one song. That is what I do, and I know what
each one is. If you are going to make a DVD out of the whole thing you can
add them together in your authoring program. Or at least you could then
bring in all of your individual clips and put them together as one MM
file....if you are going to make a DVD save your files as DV-AVI ....they
will be huge but make for the best quality dvd. Good luck.
