Slowing down a clip

I have some videos that I am trying to make into a movie, but they play in
sped up mode for some reason. I have tried everything I can think of to get
them to play in regular time but cant seem to get it. I've tried to slow
down half and that doesnt work either. Any suggestions?

You can use up to 6 instances
of the Slow Down Half effect...

The easiest way to add effects
is to right click a clip on the timeline
and choose Video Effects...
