slowed system

i noticed that every time i log onto windows mail it makes my desktop run
slower. For example, sometimes it takes a long time to load and it gives me a
not responding message, or when i want to compose a new message it takes a
long time to pop up the compose window, or when i want to reply to an e-mail
it takes a really long time to open the reply window and sometimes it freezes
my computer for like a couple mins.

That's Windows Mail, patience is the key, sadly :-(
