My system has slowed considerably and disk cleanup freezes up when I try to run it. I tried a system restore to a couple of dyas ago and no luck. Any ideas? Thanks

If you haven't installed something new then you could have
a problem with the computer itself or with a virus or
spyware/etc.

Have you installed all the relevant updates from
Microsoft? Do you have a good anti-virus program and do
you update and run it weekly? Have you taken steps to
protect yourself from spyware and trojans? Have you
activated the firewall in XP (or are you already behind a
firewall)?

On-line system checkups:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com
http://www.trojanscan.com/trojanscan/scanner.htm

These are not a replacement for your own anti-virus
program - which is on your computer and which is always on
when you're on-line.

Google for Ad-Aware and SpyBot (freeware) Update and use
daily. Consider SpyWareBlaster and Zone Alarm as well.
