My laptop is hanging on startup with the toolbar hidden
and the timer showing. Shutting down the svhost that
shows the largest mem use allows it to run OK. What the
heck is svhost and why is there several that are running
in Processes? I've run all the virus scans I can find and
spybot with no improvement. I gave up on updates from
Microsoft as they interfere with other programs. It was
running good until a few days ago and nothing really
changed except copying files from another computer.
Haven't added anything or downloaded anything as it is my
highspeed connection computer from hotels. I gave up
trying to do dialup. Dialup allows connection but IE
will not allow a page to open as it says no connection
present but will allow to open when on LAN. Any insite
would be cool.
