slow web browsing

I have a new computer and a DSL and my connection speed
is fine, but some web pages open very slowly, especially
images take a very long time to come up. It started
suddenly a couple of week ago. What it could be?
I did not change any setting that might cause this. Any
ideas?
 
delete internet temp files often and limit the temp file
size. tools/i.options/settings button
