Hi
I have one DC in a small school. The DC is running AD, DHCP, DNS, IIS, Print
and File server. More than it should! Anyway I have just setup individual
logins for 50 students and log off times are very slow (can be up to 10mins).
The student accounts are roaming profiles with desktop and my documents
redirected to a share on the DC. I did have application data redirected but
have now disabled it. I have it set to save a copy of the profile to the
client and DC. Logon time isn't too bad, just logoff.
Other users (teachers) do not have roaming profiles but have my documents
redirected to the DC. Logoff is sometimes slow but not normally. I put the
slow times down to an overworked server.
Any ideas as to how to speed up the logoff or any further info you may
require. Maybe I should ask something simple like "how long is a piece of
string"!!
Cheers
