Slow to find Workgroup, then can't open...

Howdy,

We have a 6 node peer to peer net all Win 2000 Pro. The
systems talk to each other through a switch.

A few minutes ago, something changed so that now, we are in
this situation:

If I double click on Network, then

double click on Entire Network, then

double click on Microsoft Windows Network

It takes about 45 seconds to display the workgroup name
(which happens to be OFFICE.) (It used to take perhaps two
seconds to display.)

If I then double click on the workgroup name about 45
seconds later it displays the error:

"Office is not accessible. Network path not found."


Where should I start looking to resolve this?

Possible switch fault, I have seen it once before.

Sounds like a problem similar to one I had. I resolved it
this morning by disabling the MacAfee personal firewall
that came with the computer.
