I am running Windows XP Professional with a Pentium IV
3.06 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. Recently the response time of
my taskbar has slowed dramatically when new IE windows
are created - for example, when I start a new window, the
program icon appears on the task bar in a program bar
that is only half-formed. It takes two or three seconds
for the program bar to fully appear. This never used to
happen. Any ideas?

My personal experience has been the same. I found 49
spy/adware programs imbedded in my computer. I would look
around to find a spyware/adware killer!
