Outlook 2002? Disable the Messenger integration;
Tools-> Options-> Other

Yes it is2002, but not sure what message integration is!
Got to Tools>Options>other, but then got stuck!
Please help further

At the bottom you'll see aWindows Messenger icon. Disable the integration
and restart Outlook to see whether it helps speeding up your Outlook. When
you use Outlook and are not logged on to Windows or MSN Messenger it could
delay Outlook 2002 quite a bit.

Tools>Options>Other...uncheck the box "Enable Instant Messaging in Microsoft
Outlook" near the bottom of the window, under the "Instant Messaging"
heading.

Then close and re-open Outlook
