Hi There...
My new P4 notebook with XP Pro on, takes +- 10 minutes
too load up, after I login (Workstation only and Novell
network are equally slow). All I've done so far is too
install all the required XP updates (SP1 & Post SP 1
Patches) Everything was still running fine, untill I
tried too install F-Secure 5.4 (anti-virus) which failed
halfway through the installation process. I uninstalled f-
secure and tried too reinstall it again, but it failed
yet again(There's nothing wrong with the F-Secure install
files,it installs fine on other PC running W2K/XP Home or
Pro). What I have notice, if I go to Task Manager and
kill (End) "RUN32DLL.EXE", it startsup like one would
expect it too, or like it use too.
What I would like to know is, can I replace the
RUN32DLL.EXE file without causing more problems and where
is this file located? If that idea isn't even close too
sloving the problem...do you have any other suggestions?
Oh and I did give System Restore...a few tries too.
Didn't help :-(
