My system (XP Pro) boots very slowly (3-4 mins).

Tried disabling using MSCONFIG and this makes little difference. It must be
something else.
How can I track/see what is taking so long? Any ideas how to sort this?

Bootvis may be useful. As well as optimizing the boot process,
it has a trace mode which will give you a breakdown of the
the time spent during the boot.
I think it's still available here:

Try using a utility called BootVis. It will analyse your boot up process and
then you can use it to optimize it. I have to say though, 3-4 minutes
suggests that there is something else wrong. Not sure what but as an
example, my PC boots up in 27 seconds. That's the sort of target you should
be aiming for.
