Linda

I recently upgraded from Windows 98 to 2000. Since this
upgrade my start-ups take even longer then before. I also
get a "low virtual memory" when I am trying to surf the
net.

I have cable connection, so dial up slowness should not be
a factor. I also have a citrix connection to my office
which, when I logon to their system - the internet
service, is 100x faster.

I have run a defrag program as well as installed Spybot
S&D thinking it may be unauthorized users taking space.
Nothing seems to help. Any thoughts on what else I can
try or check on????

Thank you in advance!

This is just a shot in the dark, but try AdAware (freeware) to look
for and remove any spyware/adware on your system. Also, try an online
virus scan from pandasoftware. Google those names and you'll find
them.
