Why'd is a proper contraction?

Hi,

Was it a reinstall or a repair install? The former could be having major
issues as it gets encumbered by remnants of the old installation.

Why not, many do make corrections here (MPT comes to mind). And besides, one makes corrections IN a newsgroup, not ON one!

If you think that MPT is the person here who should be seen as
someone to emulate, I feel sorry for you.

That's debatable. I consider either usage acceptable.

I love it, you consider my "example" as something of an emulation, how confused you are!

Sure, for one obviously so erudite! Toss the appalachian english book away, and begin over with remedial English!

I'm doing the signiture test now but have fixed with the Shutdown.exe
program from www.kellys-korner-xp.com/tweeks I had to drop the program into
C:/ then go to run/cmd.exe/C:\shutdown.exe and at the prompt I typed
shutdown -l -u -r -f -t 05
It worked a treat.
It must be a problem with XP or it wouldn't be listed as a hot fix.
I have had to reinstall ecd creator 6 but a part from that every thing seems
ok.
