slow running computer

what can i do to speed up my computer... i have windows xp.. and i have the
following ckleanup software on my computer registry mechanic adaware
history eraser advanced windows care and dustbuster and i also frequently
defrag my computer and disk cleanup

well, if you put enough of that crap on it that will slow it down if
they end up installing services that constantly run in the background.

Reinstalling XP will definitely speed the PC up because it will clean
out the registry which has gotten bloated over the period of time since
XP was last installed.

Depending on your reason for slowness, adding more RAM may help. Without
knowing your CPU and RAM specifications I can only guess but adding RAM
always helps unless you are a gamer and already have a lot of RAM.
