When double-clicking to view an e-mail, Outlook seems to
hang and is slow to open the message. However, if you
view the message in "preview" mode, it's fine. Any
ideas?

What version of Outlook are you running and what mode (Corp/Workgroup,
Internet Mail Only, etc.) do you have it installed in? If you're not sure,
check Help | About.

We're running Outlook 2000 SR-1 in C/W mode. When I log
into his PC as myself, Outlook behaves as it should. It's
only when logged in as the main user of the PC.

I have run the inbox repair tool, (minor corrections) and
uninstalled/reinstalled, checked TCP/IP. Turned off virus
scanning and all other non-essential programs running in
the system tray; no change. He does have a very large
archive folder. Can this affect the behavior of Outlook?

Thanks
