slow printing - HP psc 2170

My HP psc 2170 has suddenly started printing extremely slowly ( 30 mins for a
few lines). I have uninstalled and re-installed but still the same. The
computer has been de-fragged and virus checked recently.
Any help gratefully received.

Are you using a USB cable?
I have seen these cables do exactly this on rare occasions, I suggest that you
try a different cable before getting too deep into other matters.
