can anyone help on this?

When I tried to start to print from powerpoint 2000. I
clicked file-->print and wait to 2 minutes, ok I waited.
Then I was choosing a printer. It took me another 2 - 3
minutes. the GUI response is extremely slow. I could
print. I have even stop and start the print spooler from
services before, and it didn't help.

Can anyone help me? the day before everything was okay.

here is my system:
Intel pentium 2.0G
256 MB of RAM
20 GB HDD.
Windows 2000 Professional.
Office 2000 Professional.

thanks
Steve

PowerPoint does not play well with networked printers. Try installing a
local printer (even if you physically disconnect it again).

"the day before everything was ok"

That looks to be the key. What's changed since then?

Are you printing to a networked printer? Has something on the network
changed? Are you disconnected from the network?
As B says, printing to network printers can be dicey. Or at least it is if
you're using the printer driver on the server itself.
Better to install the printer driver locally then connect it to a network
printer port.
