SLOW- please help

When I turn on my comp (win xp home, dsl, p4 2.66, 512
ram) If i right click something or hit shift+delete on
something, no problems.....

AS SOON AS I CONNECT TO THE INTERNET, if I right click an
icon or the desktop itself, or try to delete something,
the computer hangs for 10 second or so be fore letting
have the option to do what I wanted. ANY IDEAS???

Start by downloading Adaware and / or update Reference file from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
and use it to remove parasites.

How good is your housekeeping?

1. In Outlook Express empty your Deleted Items folder.

2. In Outlook Express run File, Folder, Compact All whilst OFFLINE.

3. Run Disk Cleanup. Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup.

4. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Thanks for the reply. My housekeeping is an A++ I run
defrag once a week, ad-aware and spybot, vius scans every
few days. I use outlook and clean out the folders
often. I will keep trying to find the problem!
