To All,

I cannot answer the question asked by a friend who got a new motherboard
in his Dell laptop.

The PC is now much slower. What could have changed beside having a slower
chip in the computer.

Thanks in advance
Bob

Incorrect settings in BIOS such as bus speed, cpu multiplier, less RAM, etc.
Hard to answer with knowing the MB, BIOS or RAM.

The obvious question is, was the motherboard an -exact- replacement? If
not, all the drivers are screwed up. But your friend should go into BIOS
settings and either 'load defaults' or 'load optimized defaults' or 'load
performance defaults' or some such wording. -Dave
