Slow over network

Hi All,

I have a client who is complaining of slow startup and operation of the
access 2K DB I have written for them.

The DB is split - Data/GUI, runs fine when files on same machine, very slow
when over the network

Machines running the data/gui, whilst not 'amazing' are up to spec. All
running Access 2K with the latest service packs.

Network seems fine other than the access problem, its a 10mbps UTP peer to
peer LAN, 3 workstations 2xWin98(GUI) 1xXP(Data+GUI).

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

There are several things you can do to avoid the drag, foremost among
them opening a recordset when the database is first opened and keeping
