I am running a 5 computer LAN in my office. I recently
upgraded to 2000 Professional on all machines. One
machine (server)is dedicated to hold files and being a
printer server. I am having problems with slow
searching/browsing/retieving of files from my so called
server from individual workstations. I was told that this
could be because I need to set the master browser to be on
one machine only (i.e. the server). In Win 98 it is easy
to find the master browser. It is in the Network area of
Control panel under advance settings for File and Print
sharing. Can anyone tell me where to find this in 2000 or
is there another solution to this problem.
