Slow network problems

I'm having two network problems with W2KPro, which I
do not believe are related.
The first, from my searches, seems to be a common
one. While browsing certain network drives, the browsing
is incredibly slow. This does not happen when browsing
the same drives using W98. Has anyone found a definitive
cause and solution for this?
The second, is that when I boot up and log in, after
hitting CTRL-ALT-DEL, and entering username and password,
there is about a 2 minute delay. I found a KB article
which seems to relate to this, but the "solution" does not
make sense. (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?

Does the ipconfig/all from the clients show that everything is pointing to
your server-IP?

If I understand the question correctly, yes.

.

Are you using an IP-range 3.30.x.x???
Why doesn't your external nic have a static IP?
Normally a internal LAN would be in the 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or
172.x.x.x-range. Also the 3rd octet in your ipconfig is different. That will
explain the difficultie clients have to find DNS and WINS.
Is this the ipconfig from a client? Why does it have other (disabled) nics?
