I have a Win2k PC with all the latest updates and clean according to
Adaware, MS AntiSpyware, SpyBot S&D and Norton AV.
The problem is that when sending a file from the Win2k machine to any
other PC's on the local network I get terrible speeds. Typically a
30MB file will take 25 minutes.
Receiving files on the Win2k PC from any of the other networked
machines is ok.
I have verified the cable is OK and that the other machines can all
communicate over the 100bt network properly. The problem is just the
sending of files from the Win2k PC.
Can anybody recommend a diagnostic software tool which can be
understood by a network novice that will help debug this issue?
