So I really know that this is a vague post so I am looking for some
pointers. I am the admin of a small domain. 4 production servers 2 testing
servers, 5 working workstations and about 4 test workstations. Everything
runs on a 100base network with serval switches through out the office.
We host a small .com. I am haveing slow network access to the webserver and
our database server from our client michines. When I browes from a
workstation through internet explorer, or when I try to access a network
file through an application. Some michines work fine others have problems.
I have check the event logs on the michines and there are no events coming
up. I am really looking for some place to start looking into this. I have
had problems with master browsers but I checked that an got rid of that. I
do not have collion detection on any router or switches.

Where do I start.

Start from 'ipconfig /all' and MS updates on good station, then proceed
through comparing that data, network properties, DHCP, WINS, and DNS servers
settings down to the physical media.
