Slow "My Computer"

I have some W2K pro machines which often take over a
minute to populate the My Compter window. Any ideas why
this is or what I can do about it?
 
I had similar problems that were related to stale drive
mappings...when you finally get MY COMPUTER populated,
check the drive mappings and see if there are any invalid
ones there. If so, unmap them and see if it helps.
