I make videos of golf swings and would like to have the
subjects view the video frame-by-frame and in slow
motion. Is there any app distributed freely that will
allow them to do so?

Assuming you have XP, have you tried XP's Movie Maker? It
comes with XP - I haven't tried Movie Maker II because my
computer is marginal for it, so I don't know what
improvements are in it. MS has an entire website dedicated
to it to tell you everything you need to know about it. It
can be found here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/moviemaker/default.asp

Find Windows Movie Maker off of Start > Accessories

The Movie Maker website has many links filled with all
kinds of info, including the right news groups to help you
out.

Thanks, Linda. I have MovieMaker v1.xxx and it does
allow me to play frame-by-frame as you suggested.
However, I still would like to play the video in slow
motion also and I don't see how to do that. Perhaps
MovieMaker II has that feature.

Incidentally, I tried importing an MPEG file and
Moviemaker automatically imported it as an audio clip
only (as opposed to a video clip). Interestingly, I can
select the audio clip and play it as a video clip in the
preview window (which is where I played the video frame-
by-frame). Do you know why the file was imported as an
audio clip only or how to import it as a video source?

Thanks for your suggestions, so far.
