Slow logon to a terminal server

We have to domains in separate domain trees. User/account
domain (A) and terminal servers domain (T). The domains
have external trust relationship.

If a user tries to logon, using terminal services client,
to a terminal server using a user account from domain T
the logon process is fast (15 seconds).

If a user uses a user account from domain A it takes 45 to
70 seconds to log on. The process is fast until
message "Applying your personal settings..." appears ans
stays on screen for long time.

I would really appreciate any sugestions.

Thanks

Sounds like a profile related problem. Where are the user profiles
stored? Have you tried to give all users a standard profile stored
in domain A and a TS specific profile stored on a network share in
domain T (or locally on the TS, if you have only one TS and have
enough disk space)?

What DNS server have you setup for the terminal server, it must be the one
of the domain controller if it isnt you will have that problem, it was like
that for me when i had the router as the primary dns, once i changed that to
the DC IP it was fixed.
