slow loading

Asking advice about my fathers pc, he has a machine that takes a long time to load an application (battlefield 1942) to be honest I have done everything i can think of ie spyware/ adware and virus checked it, His computer specs are
Intel celeron 2.6mhz
512mb pc2700 ram
80gb hard drive
geforce 5200 graphics card 128mb (I installed this)
He has deleted all old files and done a complete clean out of his hard drive
any suggestions welcome, Thanks
 
i think you could do with another 512MB of RAM in it, with XP if your running it ? its gonna struggle
 
Well, I ain't no gamer but you have three things against you here ...
1. Celeron
2. Not enough Ram
3. Need a gamers gaphics card
