slow loading

hi i have installed windows xp with sp1 everything is working fine no errors no viruses everything is ok but eventhough i have 3.2 HT cpu windows is loading rather slowly actually the same duration as on a 2.4 cpu why is that and after loading the desktop takes also sometime to be fully loaded i have a serial hdd, 512 ddrams 400 ,bios up to date ,and no hardware problems
 
Your CPU Speed is only one of many factors that cause WinXP to load fast
or slow. Depending on how
many Programs are loading during Startup is a major factor. You can look
in Start>Run type: msconfig
Select Startup and see what and how many programs are being loaded.
Uncheck those you don't really need. Have you checked for Trojans, Spyware
and Adware? You can use these websites
