I am having problems on the net. My connection is usually 53.2 bps but yet it takes 20 to 30 minutes to download a 320k file? I have an icon in the bottom right start line showing 2 monitors with a red X through them. When I put my pointer over it I get a message that reads "local area connection network cable unplugged intel pro/1000 ct desktop conn"? I am running windows XP home edition with a 3.06 HT intel chipset with 1 gig of 3200ddr running in the dual mode. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

you need to go to www.bandwidthplace.com and run a speed test it will tell
you your true speed as well as tell you how long certain size files would
take to download!

The reported speed many times is incorrect!

the red X is your network connection for broadband or home networking the
red X means the connection is disconnected!
