slow grind / flicker

hi
i have a P-IV about a year or so old, a few weeks ago i noticed it started to flash and flicker, only when i am on the net. i was told to check the monitor or video card, so i got an old machine the monitor works ok, and had the video card ther its fine, no problems

the flickering starts when i open or hit the backspace to return to a page on the net and some nasty unwanted mail attaches itself and it start to flicker
when the flickering starts i cant keep the page open and when i try to close down there is no responce so i hold down the control button and then set the cursor on the start button so i can click on turn computer off

at the same time i have noticed that the computer is slow and its like a slow grinding motion even when i use word it is relly slower then my old 386 and not a PIV

if anybody can halp i appreciate it

You seem to have unwittingly invited spyware or adware onto your computer.
Now
you must install one of the many spyware/adware removers available on the
