my email and everyone i know that uses outlook is having trouble receiving
emails. sometimes it takes hours to receive an email. what is wrong latley?

Nothing wrong with MS Outlook. If there is mail to be downloaded from the
servers, Outlook will download it. Shouldn't take very long. However, until
there is mail available on the servers, there is nothing to download. If
email is taking hours to get from *@comcast.net to *@verizon.net, that is an
issue between Comcast and Verizon. It is definitely not an Outlook issue.
