Slow downloads

This maybe coincedence but.....

I rebuilt my PC today and each file I have tried to download from web sites
has had a slow d/l rate.
My connection is 2Mbps and a usual d/l speed would be approx 150Mbps +
My current is around 60-75Kbps

Sites downloaded from include download.com and nvidia.com, so not talking
angelfire for example!
Maybe they are all just busy tonight? Maybe I have missed a setting in my
net connection properties?
(No appreciable other traffic is happening during these downloads).

I wouldn't do anything. Wait and see what happens. There may have been
network slow downs or the sites may have been busy.
 
Jon, I don't understand what you mean Network slow down. This is a stand
alone home pc. The problem is on boot up.
It takes at least a minute to go from wallpaper to seeing program icons.
It only started this last night.
