I have a cable modem for downloading music. It's worked
well and although I don't like using windows media player
to burn cd's, it's okay. However, my computer is really
slow today and I'm not sure why. I delete old music
files once i've burned them, I just defragged my
computer. What else can I do to get my computer back to
normal ?

Unless you have a virus or a bunch of adware/spyware running in the
background, this checklist (courtesy of 24hoursupport.helpdesk newsgroup
regular "Mike") should help:

To scan for adware/spyware, consider the free version of "AdAware" from:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ It scans your system for crap
that might be running in the background- crap that comes bundled with many
freeware apps.

Ian.
