I have recently downloaded winXP, and it is working very slowly compared with the win98 I have been using, another thing is that some web site do not download completly,at last my pc cannot detect pci communication device

You cannot download Windows XP unless it is from a warez website.

98 only takes up half a gigabyte of HD space while xp
takes up nearly 2 gigabytes and has slightly higher
hardware requirements, thats probably why.

My XP Pro with SP1 and all patches takes 1.4 GB.
