Suddenly, like when I began to use the computer after booting up one morning,
the computer response is very slow. Programs boot up slowly, the pointer
jumps instead of moving continuously, etc.
Task Manager shows two processes hogging over 90% of the CPU time --
agent.exe and isuspm.exe. A search tells me something like: agent.exe is a
Dell program and isuspm.exe a Macrovision program. My computer is a Sony
Vaio (I don't recall installing anything from Dell) and I can't find where
I'm running Macrovision.
I took the bull by the horns and deleted both Agent and Isuspm and computer
speed is up to snuff. I have McAfee and run a scan once a week (even ran a
scan before I deleted). I may have installed at&t Uverse during this time.
The problem didn't last to the end of the day before I deleted the programs.
Can anyone tell me how I may have gotten these programs or where they could
have come from?
Thanks, joeZy
