Hi,
We are currently supporting a customer overseas via a poor vpn klient (it is claimed to be 64 kpbs but I doubt).
Is there any tweak/setting that makes it possible to optimize the performance?
E.g. colors to 4 or 16?

I also experience some timeouts where I have to reconnect again, but I saw some threads about símular issues, so I'll start with them.
Thank you in advance
Nico

64Kbps should be more than sufficient for an RDP or ICA connection, both of which will work with as little as 26.4Kbps dial-up connection (okay, Citrix claims 20KBps). Is performance is okay with 16bit color, then leave it that way, but if performance is bad, start with these

Set screen resolution to 800x600 or 1024x768 (the higher you go, the slower the screen refresh will be
Set color depth to 256 color
Disable Local Drive Redirection, if not neede
If not needed, disable local printing, but this usually isn't an option
Set RDP Client "Experience" to "Modem 28.8

Check here for TCP Tweaks
