JamesM.

I am currently running Windows 2000 professional. I am
running this at home, not on a network, but have user
groups for my family members.

The problem is that the PC takes about 2 minutes to boot-up
to the desktop.
(after typing in the id/password).

Can someone please help.

Hi,

I think the problem is the ammount of information on the
profile it is loading, all the files saved in the
directories, background, just the general size of the
profile loading, could be that it is Huge. Or maybe you
have allsorts of programs loading into your system tray
like quicktime anti virus, firewalls etc

Hope this can help

Jason

Hi,
I don't have anything in the system tray - loading up. I
deleted everything (except the default and systray)

I also don't know how to tell what is in my profile. I'm
not on any network, just set up as an admin with
permissions to all the folders, and the other family users
have the same access except they can only see their
personal MY DOCUMENT folder.

Can you still help? Thanks,
