Help!! I posted this before, but i still did not get
anywhere. in winamp 5 and windows media playe the sound
goes to fast. i searched the newsgroup and it says to go
to www.soundcard-drivers.com and update the drivers, but
thi does not help me any. the device manager says
something about code 28, what is that?

Code 28
The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28).
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver
Solution button: Reinstall Driver
This code means the device was not installed completely.
To resolve this issue, follow the recommended solution. If that does not work, try removing the device from Device Manager and using the Add New Hardware wizard to redetect it. You may need to obtain updated drivers if the error still occurs.

I did this. you said to update them from www.soundcard-
drivers.com and i did then i got this code. where do
i "..obtain updated drivers"? is there another place then
the site you told me to go to?

maybe i'm not explaining the issue. i'll try again.

i had slow sound, i took your advise and went to that site
and download the update for my cmedia card. after i did
that i got error code 28+slow sound.

is their any one who can suggest something good to do?
Byte, no offence, but it does not sound like you know what
you are talking about. So far you keep saying the same
thing over and over, even though i keep saying it does not
work. any good ideas?

THANK YOU CHRIS! I was thinking the drivers at
www.soundcard-drivers.com where the updated ones, but then
i looked again. it says 2 different release dates for the
same driver. it said november 2003 and Jan 9, 2004, so it
started to look fishey.

the drivers from cmedia did the trick.
