I am having a problem whereby every application that I
start after AntiSpyware is running takes 10-20 times
longer to start then when AntiSpyware is shut down.
During this long application startup delay, the
gcasDtServ.exe process is at nearly 100% CPU.
The slow application startup happens even when I disable
all of the real-time scanning agents in AntiSpyware.
Normal application startup speeds resume when I shut down
MS AntiSpyware.
I recently reloaded my PC, again with XP SP2, and it is
still exhibiting the same behavior as before. The only
other real-time agent that I have running is Symantec
AntiVirus. I get the same slow behavior even when the
real-time protection of Symantec AntiVirus is disabled.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help!
